Tauheed K. Epps (born September 12, 1977) is an American rapper better known as 2 Chainz (previously Tity Boi). Born and bred in College Park, Georgia, he rose to prominence as half of the Southern hip hop duo Playaz Circle, along with longtime friend and fellow rapper Earl “Dolla Boy” Conyers.
The Georgia-based rapper Ludacris’ Disturbing tha Peace label signed the duo, who are best known for their 2007 breakthrough single “Duffle Bag Boy” (with Lil Wayne).
Epps secured a solo album deal with Def Jam Recordings, a Universal Music Group imprint, in February 2012. On August 14, 2012, he released his debut studio album Based on a T.R.U. Story, which was met with commercial success despite mixed reviews. Three successful singles were released from the album.

The next year, 2 Chainz’s ‘Based on a T.R.U. tale’ was published. Popular rappers such as Lil Wayne, Drake, and Kanye West made cameos on the album.
The album reached at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in the United States. His second album, ‘B.O.A.T.S. II,’ was an instant success, selling 63,000 copies in its first week.
2 Chainz’s third album, released in 2016, was again a huge hit. It debuted at number four on the Billboard 200.
Two years later, 2 Chainz released ‘Pretty Girls Like Trap Music,’ which included Pharrell Williams, Travis Scott, and Drake as guests.
