Khuzani began his elementary schooling in 1995 at Mvaziya Elementary School in Emandaba, Nkandla, where he remained until 1998. He began his studies at Swandle Primary and High School in Nkandla in 1999 and completed it in 2002.
Khuzani moved from KwaZulu-Natal to Pretoria in 2003 to pursue his schooling at Makgatho Primary School. He returned to KwaZulu-Natal shortly after his departure, where he finished grade 12 in 2009 at Sulwini Primary and High School.

His seventh studio album, Isixaxa Samaxoki, was released on April 7, 2017. The Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA) certified the album gold two weeks after its release.
He took part in the Gcwalisa iMabhida Maskandi Concert in the first quarter of 2019.
On November 27, 2020, his single “Ijele” starring Luve Dubazane was released. The song earned Ukhozi FM’s Top 10 Song of the Year by nearly 900,000 votes.
Mpungose will play at the Dubai Expo in October 2021.
