Amandla Stenberg (born October 23, 1998) is an actress from the United States. She was named one of Time’s Most Influential Teens in 2015 and 2016, and she has won multiple awards, including a Teen Choice Award, an NAACP Image Award, and nominations for four Black Reel Awards and a Critics’ Choice Award.
Stenberg made her acting debut in Colombiana (2011) before breaking out as Rue in The Hunger Games (2012), for which she earned the Teen Choice Award for Best Chemistry.
Amandla has been recognized for her outspoken opinions, particularly her work for LGBT teens, which has attracted widespread media attention. She made her musical debut in 2015 as part of the folk-rock duet Honeywater. Her song “Let My Baby Stay” appears in her film Everything, Everything.
