Jesus’ birth, death, and resurrection is the reason for the season of celebration all over the world.
Jesus’ birth brought redemption to humanity in the sense that before he came to die for the whole world, the world was under bondage.
According to John 3:16, God sent his son Jesus to rescue mankind from eternal death.
He became a reason for the season when he dedicated his life to that of the whole world.
Worldwide, he (Jesus) is always remembered and celebrated during the season of Christmas. That period was specially dedicated to when he was born.
What’s the reason for Christmas season?
During Christmas periods, you see a lot of people going to the store to get gifts for friends and family.
Others look for ways to exploit money from buyers during this season all in the name of Christmas.
If you ask many people what “Jesus is the reason for the season” is, a lot don’t know. Some would say it was the time when Jesus was born.
Many others would say it’s the birth of Santa which is why gifts are being shared amongst family and friends.
Q. Have you ever seen a sign during Christmas that says “Jesus is the reason for the season?” You probably have seen it more than once.
Why is Jesus the reason for the season?
They’re lots of prominent profiles worldwide who have done so much to be remembered for. “Martin Luther, Nelson Mandela” etc. But why isn’t the world celebrating them like it’s done every Christmas?
According to the book of Hebrews 2:9.
God sent his son to die for the sins of mankind, by doing so, he was made little more than the Angels and as equal as a man.
He had the power to command anything to happen but he still chose to sacrifice himself for the sins of mankind.
The birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus portray that if we let God in his infinite wisdom lead us no matter how rough the path is, we will surely be exonerated and lifted above our expectations.
Many will still argue that they don’t understand why “Jesus is the reason for the season”, but the book of Hebrews 9:25-28, will make you understand that from the beginning of time, mankind had already been destined to die and after death comes judgment.
But God being so merciful and kind offered his son as a burnt offering for the sins of many, and unto those who believe in him will he appear the second time.
The reason for the season is because from the birth and resurrection of Christ Jesus many were reborn through him. From generation to generation, Jesus will always and continually be the reason for the season of Christmas.
