Biography
Kit Chan was born on 15 September 1972 in Singapore, she’s the third daughter in a family of four sisters. She attended Fairfield Methodist School, Raffles Girls’ School, and Raffles Junior College. After graduating from high school, she enrolled in Lasalle-SIA College of the Arts, where she studied music and theater.
After graduating from Lasalle, Chan began her career as a singer. She released her debut album, Heartache, in 1994. The album was a commercial success, and Chan quickly became one of the most popular singers in Singapore.
In 2004, Chan took a hiatus from her music career to pursue her studies further. She returned to Lasalle as a mature student and wrote a thesis on the psychology of performance. She graduated with first-class honors in 2010.
