Theodor Capitani von Kurnatowski, also known as Theo Von, is an American stand-up comedian, podcaster, television personality, YouTuber, and actor who was born on March 19, 1980. He is the voice behind the podcast This Past Weekend and was formerly a co-host of The King and the Sting.

Von was born to Gina Capitani and Roland Theodor Achilles von Kurnatowski, who was originally from Bluefields, Nicaragua. According to Von, his father was 70 years old when Von was born. Von was named after his grandfather. Von was only 16 years old when he passed away as a result of his cancer.
Covington, Louisiana was where Von and his older brother and two younger sisters spent most of their childhood.
Theo Von attended high school in Mandeville, Louisiana, and received his diploma from that institution. He spent some time studying at Louisiana State University, as well as at Loyola University New Orleans, the University of Arizona, College of Charleston, and Santa Monica College. Career and Early Life
Theo began his career in entertainment at the age of 19 when he appeared in MTV’s Road Rules: Maximum Velocity Tour while still a student at Louisiana State.
He later appeared on MTV shows like The Challenge, Battle of the Seasons, The Gauntlet, Battle of the Sexes II, and Fresh Meat.
Theo appeared on the Comedy Central show Reality Bites Back in 2008. He went on to win the show, defeating Amy Schumer, Bert Kreischer, and Tiffany Haddish, among others.
When Theo was 23, he began performing stand-up comedy in Louisiana. He later relocated to Los Angeles to pursue his dream and make a career out of it.
Things were difficult for Theo at first because he was not given a chance because he was perceived as a reality TV personality at the time.
It took him years to overcome that stigma and establish himself as a comedian.
One of Theo’s major comedic accomplishments came in 2006, when he won the title of Fan Favorite in an online competition associated with the fourth season of Last Comic Standing.
In 2012, he appeared in an episode of the Comedy Central show The Half Hour. In order to promote his comedy, he was also invited to several late-night shows.
