She is the founder and CEO of VR&C Marketing, a communications firm that specializes in digital media, public relations, and event planning. Remoe is also the host of the popular TV show “Swit Salone,” which focuses on Sierra Leonean culture and current affairs.

Biography
Vickie Remoe was born on November 14, 1984, in the Sierra Leonean capital of Freetown to a Krio-Yoruba father and a Temne mother. She spent her childhood in Freetown, Addis Abeba, and Maryland. Remoe attended Haverford College and majored in political science. Remoe came to New York City after graduating from Haverford to attend the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
Vickie returned to Sierra Leone after graduating from Columbia and founded Swit Salone in 2005. Swit Salone was Sierra Leone’s first independently produced TV show. The show was a hit, lasting five seasons. Remoe created VR&C Marketing in 2010. VR&C Marketing has worked with a wide range of clients, including the United Nations, the World Bank, and the government of Sierra Leone.

Career
Vickie began her career after returning to Sierra Leone from the United States by launching the first season of her talk show on the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Service in 2009. During its run from 2009 to 2011, the show attracted notice and featured renowned guests such as Madieu Williams, Yvonne Nelson, Nneka, and Sorie Kondi. Vickie took a break from the show in 2011 to pursue graduate studies.
Vickie moved to Accra, Ghana, after finishing her degree program, to work as a marketing consultant for Printex Limited. The Vickie Remoe Show was reintroduced on AYV TV in 2018 after a seven-year absence. Orange agreed to sponsor the new season of the TV show in 2019. One notable episode had teen mothers returning to school in Moyamba, Southern Sierra Leone. Vickie was named a Girl Ambassador by Save The Children Sierra Leone after the season ended.
