She then worked as a Campaigns and Communications Specialist for Save the Children International. Nomsa later worked as a communications officer for the UN Spotlight Initiative in Malawi.

Poisoning was the cause of journalist Nomsa Mkandwire-Taulo’s death on May 6 of this year in Lilongwe, according to the findings of a preliminary examination investigation into her death.

Nomsa passed away just a few hours after arriving in the country for a vacation from South Sudan, where she worked as a communications analyst for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

She was laid to rest at the HHI Cemetery in Blantyre after her passing.
